The never-ending 2024 problem.

Explanation of supply constraints and increases in freight rates and charges due to improvements in the labor environment, as well as labor distribution!

On April 1, 2024 (Reiwa 6), laws and notifications aimed at improving the working conditions of automobile drivers came into effect. Under the work style reform-related laws, the upper limit for overtime work, which is generally set at 720 hours per year, has an exception for automobile driving operations, where the limit is set at 960 hours per year. Automobile driving operations are regarded as having a total of working hours and break times combined as the total working time, as stipulated in the notification commonly referred to as the improvement standards notification. The maximum hours have been established, but starting from April 1, the maximum total working time per day will be reduced from 16 hours to 15 hours, from 293 hours to 284 hours per month, and from 3,516 hours to 3,300 hours per year. *For more details, please refer to the related links on the blog.
